Centre for Urban and Regional Studies, University of Birmingham
CURS is part of the University of Birmingham’s Business School. Its focus is to blend knowledge of academic study with practical research, and specifically to develop effective research tools and robust sampling techniques.

CURS has worked extensively in the West Midlands including in the development and evaluation of major business support programmes. Recent work has included follow-up research into the effectiveness of the implementation of the Rover Task Force strategy and an evaluation of the West Midlands’ Accelerate programme.

AP Benson Ltd
AP Benson is a management consulting firm based in Oxfordshire and with offices in Cardiff, Reading and London. The firm specialises in helping clients to improve organisational and business performance through organisational change, process improvement, financial management and programme & project evaluation.

The firm has assisted organisations, including the Welsh Assembly Government and its SME business clients, in many fields to generate business efficiencies through strategy development, business process improvement, finance troubleshooting, change management and the better use of IT.

Midlands Environmental Business Company Ltd
MEBC is a not-for-profit business networking organisation for companies interested or specialising in the Environmental Technologies market and the implementation of Sustainable Development principles. It is also a branch of the Business Council for Sustainable Development (BCSD) which is the UK arm of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.

Established in 1992, MEBC is a member of Advantage West Midlands’ Business Cluster Group for Environmental Technologies and provides advice and guidance to a range of policy makers and statutory organisations in the West Midlands.
